Well, why the hell not? Raise them from cubs and they're just as amiable and loving as any other slightly-less-than-common pet.

I have raised many raccoon babies because their mother left them or whatever reason, and they are a lot to take care of. They are adorable but they will get into EVERYTHING. They are naturally very curious and intelligent so they can get into many things you wouldn't think they could. Some places will allow you to keep them as pets, you just have to be ready for one and research the care and check with local officials.

meh my brother brought a baby possum home once And it somehow got in our walls and died god did it smell like shit in the summer no febreez helped either.

Why is this an fml? Raccoons are sometimes kept as pets when raised from babies. It's not that uncommon, really.
