Not really. My car was stolen and mine screwed me. Told me to “prove it” and a police report wasn’t enough. They called me a liar and said with no broken glass, they couldn’t possibly unlocked it (and said I must’ve left it unlocked) and steal it. It was a 98 honda. They used a shaved key and found 4 states over, totalled and used in a robbery and two murders. They still wouldn’t pay and impound wouldn’t release it due to it being evidence in a crime. So gang bangers stole it first, my insurance stole my premiums and then police stole it last and sold it at auction later without telling me and voiding my registration and ownership with a salvage title. It’s why i now ******* hate police. Not once have they done their jobs right. Recently I recovered another car stolen, with air tags and no police. I was quicker, more effective and brought someone with a gun. Worked this time. With only one shot and someone got a bullet in the knee. Op, hope you find your car.
