Today, I dropped my hair straightener. The good news is I caught it. The bad news is I caught it by the iron itself. FML

Ouch OP, FYL. :( I did the same thing with my own straightener... there really isn't time to think, you just catch it and then... ow. I'm not sure how yours slipped, but mine always falls because of the cord. It's pretty much designed to get caught on things.
