I've done the LDR-with-person-I've-never-met thing before...and the first order of business was always "Okay, simultaneous phone and webcam now." (often evolved to "Say, while we're here...") And then I hit college and found women in the real world who were also worth my time. The key is figuring out where those hang out, because a bar usually ain't it.
