Today, my wallet was stolen from my purse at work. When I asked my boss to pull the security tape so we could identify the thief, he said, "I don't think I want to know who it is." FML

Tell him to leave the room when viewing the tape and if it involves the workplace, ask that he co-operates Hope you find your wallet and solve the case

then call the police and report it directly. let them know that your boss did not want to deal with the tape.

Yeah, it's definitely him. I hope you get your wallet back, OP. If he refuses to play the tape can you get the cops involved?

Simple solution, report it to the police. I assume the police have the right to seize CCTV in the US like they do here.

In Australia if you lodge the theft with police, any company/person with footage legally has to hand it over upon police request, maybe contact the police and see if the U.S. Has something similar

Call the police and file a report. If there is someone above your boss, let them know he refused to help. The police can make him show the footage.
