Caught in 404p

By bgierczak2 - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - United States - San Francisco

Today, my wallet was stolen from my purse at work. When I asked my boss to pull the security tape so we could identify the thief, he said, "I don't think I want to know who it is." FML

Tell him to leave the room when viewing the tape and if it involves the workplace, ask that he co-operates Hope you find your wallet and solve the case

Sounds like it could have been your boss, mayhaps. I'd go to HR if I were you!

I think we have a confession...ask security if needed...if you have any...

Take it higher! That's a ridiculous and suspicious statement, and you deserve to know who stole your stuff and to be reimbursed.

Watch the video (you CAN demand it,) and record it on your own phone or demand a copy of the tape. If it was your boss, look for a lawyer and sue the crap out of him (or be reasonable when going over his head and not try to extort money out of the company to see if what they offer, especially if you have proof, maybe get a new position.)

Call the police. They will force him to pull the tape.

Make a police report. Don't tell your boss, but let the police know about your convo with them, and that they were unwilling to co-operate in finding the thief. If something is wrong with the security tapes suddenly, your boss is tampering with evidence. Don't wait on this.

WTF??? What a ********. He probably stole it or knows who did. I bet if it was his wallet, he sing a different ******* tune. You should have immediately gone over his head and/or called the cops.
