#45, the OP didn't HAVE to pay. Actually, that was pretty nice of you to pay anyway despite getting no service. I probably would have not paid, or waited, or left.
I don't really understand. So you work at the car wash for a fundraiser. You bring your car in so you can get someone else to wash it for you. When did you decide it would be "nice of you" to bring in your car to have some else work on it and you'd pay a little bit. Being nice = paying with out service, I would think. You wanted to pay less than 10 bucks? Or to watch someone else wash your car? Either way, I think it's a YDI for complaining about working at a fundraiser.
does it really make a difference?
I get it, sometimes an FML is those little things that are just a bit off, not mind bending, not Jerry Springer worthy, just that one thing that sucks. And its nice to see an FML that doesnt involve "my bf/gf broke up with me for their bff/md/etc. because I farted in my sleep/killed their cat/eat my boogers.
HOW is this an FML?? So you washed your own car. Big deal. At least the money was going to a good cause, one that you obviously care about otherwise you wouldn't have gone to the carwash in the first place.
Usually fundraiser would indicate some sort of charity. Even if the principal did need a boob job, power to her for screwing you all over. But either way, not really an FML.

It's for charity so it didn't all go to waste. Washing your car really isn't that bad either.
you donated $10 to a good cause though...
