Classy move

By Username - This FML is from back in 2011 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, my son invited his girlfriend over to our house, just to break up with her. Then he asked me to drive her home. I was then stuck in a car with a bawling teenage girl who lived over twenty minutes away. FML

YDI for raising a stupid, cowardly twat

ok y is a boy who can't drive himself dating -_- and u could've said "no" I don't want to drive her home

But that could have meant putting up with her uncontrolled blathering for even longer while the op waited for an alternate method of transport for her to arrive.

thats not awkward and uncomfortable. sorry!

Did any of you dumbasses think maybe he had a good reason for dumping her and wanted to do the polite thing and do it face to face?

By polite, you mean: Having her driven 20 minutes to your house, breaking up with her, then shoving her to your parent like she's worthless? Seriously?

Clearly 77, you're the dumbass. He wasn't the least bit polite to this girl what so ever. If he wanted to be polite he could have broken up with her in private. Relationship problems like this are meant to be private. not for the family to bare witness to. If he was polite, he would have shown her some damn respect.

I'm sorry you want private what place would be private for him to do so? It doesn't seem he's old enough to be driving so I don't know how private it can ******* get and depending on the reason he broke up with her maybe he didn't think she deserved it to be private.
