Cough up

Today, I found my dog, who had been missing for over a month, at the local pound. Clearly it was my dog, she responded to her name and cried when she saw me. However, the woman there told me I could not simply take her, I had to follow through with all policies. I paid $250 to adopt my own dog. FML

FYL indeed....but you should have put those chips they put in dogs to track them down, then all they had to do is scan it and your info would pop out.....

That happened to us before with my cat. The guy who lived behind us kept calling the pound to come and take her, so we kept having to go and get her and pay for her.

What kind of dog is it? If it was a husky, you left your posters up all around town still. But I am happy you found your dog; I was overjoyed when we found mine.

Why didn't you put a tag with your address on your dog?

I'm really happy you got your dog back, knowing that makes me happy.

Is it not compulsory to microchip your pets in parts of America?

pound here does it as well. asked them why. apparently people actually scam the pound for dogs. lame

Im not saying that doesn't suck, but if I were in that situation i would do anything to get my dog back

our neigbours once brought our cat to the pound, he doesnt wear a collar because he always manages to get them off. hes a beautiful red siamese, very fat and happy. my mom found him at the pound after a few weeks and had to buy him back too. it really sucks, but luckily noone else had taken him!
