Crossed purposes

Today, I told my boyfriend, "We need to talk." He said, "I know". So we met after school, and he said he was OK with me breaking up with him, that he wasn't that into me either. He said all that before I could tell him that my parents wanted to meet him. FML

I'm pretty sure "we need to talk" is a universally recognised code for "I'm about to break up with you".

lol who says "we need to talk" before telling your bf that you want him to meet their parents? seriously.

Stop sending mixed signals to guys, bitch.

@the sender. That sucks. But maybe he was just saying that stuff because he thought you were going to break up with him and he didn't want to seem like the weak one? It's possible. Guys are sometimes like that when their pride is at risk.

By you saying "school" I'm going to assume you're in highschool, at which point any relationship is just not worth it.

haha #14 is so right seriously though, let this be a lesson. never say, "we need to talk." it's just annoying.

Why couldn't you say "My parents want to meet you" Or like "I have good news" (if it is good news) And just like #14, your in high school not really likely that your going to spend your whole life with him

dont you know that you dont use "we need to talk" unless you wanna break up?

"we need to talk" to introduce him to your parents??? really??? like #2 said, "we need to talk" is the same as "i want to break up"
