cos she knows she texted someone and realising the the person she meant to text wasnt there she wanted to make sure it wasnt him (in which case "did i text you" becomes "did i text YOU?")

Couldn't she just look out the door and see her car is not on fire? If its in the garage he wouldn't of saw the car. The house would be on fire and I'm pretty sure she would know about that.
