I would have been terribly offended if my Mom said that to me.
I hear ya. I'm working part time and really could use another job so I can get out on my own, but I'm still taking classes right now. Even if he does take the job though he should keep searching...maybe even try and secure a job in a new town with more available jobs...It just sounds like if he stays too close by to where his mother is, she is going to try and control what he's doing in life and where he wants to be, to each his own but fresh out of college (I'm guessing early 20's) isn't really the time to be having kids before you get into a more comfortable situation.
Smart men are hot. Especially if they love animals. And Mom probably meant well, but didn't really know how to go about it.
I personally suggest yoga hahaha but yeah you just need a fun hobby... My wrestling coach met his wife playing on an ultimate frisbee team, I think she was on the other team... They had a baby girl last year :)
wow. your mom. wow :D
LOL, I have a mom like that, I told her many times "you have two requirements for a daughter-in-law, that she be the right religion, and she be breathing, and you're willing to compromise on the second requirement". Once I said "I'm hitting the clubs tonight, if I score I'll start on the grandkids tonight. Both comments ticked her off, but got her to leave the subject alone for a while...
Good luck. You're going to need it with mother who thinks that little of your success and hard work. What a bitch.
im a bio major... id date you.. im havin the same problem.. apparently everyone whos a science major is either taken or hiding if theyre single... you should email me and we could talk about how unfair it is!!!
#40 I agree with you on everything except that I'm not sure people putting themselves further into student debt is the right way to go, even though it seems like a good way to pass the time. I wholeheartedly agree that the OP should - if he has a slight interest in it - take the job, assuming there isn't anything else you'd be trading it for. Having ANY job right now is a blessing for many people! There's no shame in working at a petting zoo, or a fast food restaurant, or retail store, or anything - even if you have college degrees. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

You will meet girls! All the cool 6 year olds go to the petting zoo :)
So you are supposed to hook up with single moms so that she can have instant-grandchildren...
