Today, my crew was called out to do some house maintenance. We were nearly done, when someone had the goddamned fucking brilliant idea of washing plaster off their hands in the kitchen sink, which clogged the pipes. Instead of getting paid, we now owe for damages. FML

Umm he spent his time and money being there. That wasn't free so its not even close to even. He might have lost $500.

It's those kind of days that make you want to go to a local bar and get . . . *lowers sunglasses* plastered.

in that profession everyone is an idiot

As a professional, shouldn't he know things of that nature?

*Re-insert an unfunny joke about repairmen clogging a ladies pipes*

Make the guy pay for damages and pay the rest of the teams wages. Unless he isn't qualified for the job he should have know the right way to wash plaster off his hands and equipment. (I'm not qualified and I even know outside and not into a drain)

I am qualified and I can tell you that washing plaster off your hands in a sink is fine. What isn't fine is washing a lot of plaster down a sink, which is what I suspect really happened here lol

is that guy now job hunting?

From the way he wrote it, I can only assume that OP has no idea who it was.

I'm a plasterer, so I know that just washing some plaster off your hands (which is water-soluble) will NEVER clog a drain on its own. So either this guy washed way more than that down, or something else was wrong with that drain
