Don't tread on me

By Kate - 23/04/2009 14:09 - United States

Today, I was waiting for the train. It arrived, I got on and the woman behind me stepped on the back of my shoe. My shoe came flying off and landed in the gutter between the train and the platform. The doors closed, the train pulled away. FML

It sucks to be going somewhere with only one shoe on though...how weird and embarrassing. :P Also depending on where you're going, it could be pretty messy without a shoe.

How unfair that a pushy person like her got the train and you didn't! I work in customer service and the pushier people are, the more I take my sweet time with them. I do the same when people complain that I walk too slowly.

to #28: I don't understand how she deserves it if she was wearing flip flops. It is getting warm since Spring is coming so it's not strange for someone to decide to wear flip flops. To everyone who says that this isn't a FML: How is this not a FML? Even if the shoe wasn't expensive, the point of this is that she has to walk around the subway and streets with one shoe. Not only is it embarrassing, but it is also dirty. Just imagine yourself in the same situation and you will realize that it is a FML.

LMFAO that one had me rollin'...!!! Lolz.

wow, that must have really sucked. i can not imagine having to walk around town with ONE shoe on. i hope you bought another pair or something :)

I think this is a perfect example of an FML. I take the subway a lot and I'm always paranoid that I'll drop something down the gap between the train and the platform. Definitely possible.

This happened to me, except it was kinda my fault... Worst part was, I was on holiday, didnt take a second pair of shoes, and still had to run around paris for a couple of hours before I could get back to the hostel... Oh, and it was raining.

#58 yes infections on your foot. People survived before shoes because they were walking on the nice natural ground. This unfortunate person had to walk on the horrible man-made floor of the train and the hard dirty street when she got off the train. If this was a tube train rather than a overland train, this is a health risk especially if she had/got a cut on her foot. Underground trains are some of the filthiest places people regularly encounter.

So did you take the other one off and take your socks off and pretended to be a hippie?

#24: Actually, no, I never have heard of "shoelases". I HAVE heard of shoe laces, however. Have you ever heard of women's shoes? Ever seen some? Many of them - dare I even say most - don't have shoe laces.
