Today, my distraught mom called me, saying my dad had killed himself and to come home right away. After cussing out my math teacher for trying to stop me and rushing back home in a taxi, I ran into the living room, only to find my parents laughing so hard they were practically in tears. FML

Today, I got a call from my daughter’s school. They found her on the roof, threatening to kill herself. I had to pretend to sound scared and sad over the phone, but in reality, the only emotion I could feel was extreme joy. FML

Today, at work, I was about to close a big sale, when a coworker rushed over and said there was a call for me in the office. He heavily implied my mom had died, and I rushed out. After I figured out there was no call and that my mom was fine, he'd already stolen my sale and the commission. FML

Today, my parents and I went to the movies for my mom's birthday. After the movie, my mom and dad got into a fight, and left me at the movies. My cell phone was dead, and my house was about 12 miles away. They finally came and picked me up, hours later. FML

I honestly cannot comprehend what some people consider to be funny. Causing someone to panic over something silly, "Hey guy you sent that e-mail to everyone in the office and not just me!" - Okay, that can be pretty funny. Causing someone to panic over a very serious, life changing subject and treating that subject so frivolous, "Read the OP." - Not funny at all, just sick and deranged. A girl committed suicide on my dorm floor during my sophomore year of college, the scream that issued from her friend when she found her (girl had committed suicide in her friend's dorm room), and the image of the friend beating her fists against the hallway wall in a fit of hysterical tears I will never, ever be able to forget. Suicide is NOT funny.

I am so sorry, OP! That is so cruel and sick and twisted in so many ways! There is no way possible to get back at them either.. That was crossing the line right there! I just don't even know what to say. Make sure you line yourself out for college and a job and GET AWAY FROM THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!! I am, sincerely, so sorry, OP! That is just terrible!

In college you're treated like an adult, so if you get an important call you can answer your phone. I've done so several times after saying, "Sorry, excuse me," and moving to the corner/far end of the room and speaking quietly.
