lmao @ #2
GOOD FOR HER. There's nothing worse than a hypocritical doctor lecturing someone about their weight. You have no idea how many times I've wanted to say this exact same thing to doctors who also reeked of cigarette smoke. I wish this little girl was my daughter.
Little kids are so honest, If I want to know how fat I am, that is where I go
Basically everyone here needs to read: "The Obesity Myth" by Paul Campos and/or kateharding.net, particularly http://kateharding.net/but-dont-you-realize-fat-is-unhealthy/
lol jesus. so your doctor is fat. or smokes. or drinks. guess what? he's still going to tell you not to do it. because you shouldn't. because it's bad for you. doctors are people too. they don't always do what they are supposed to. i didn't realize practicing medicine meant you had to be perfect. god forbid i was a doctor and got cancer. then am i not allowed to treat people with cancer? that's what you're saying.
#3: "thats what you get for being fat and giving health advice. drop some pounds if you wanna call other people fat." Please. The person who wrote this is obviously a doctor or at least a registered dietitian. They're more qualified to give diet advice than the vast majority of fit people out there. This isn't some random overweight person telling a random person on the street that they have to lose weight. Learn the difference. Way too many idiot commenters here are acting like if a doctor does something they have no right to tell the truth about whether it's harmful or not.
#26....i couldn't understand a damn thing you wrote. OP, kids suck. You still need a call a fatty kid out when you see one.

Why the HELL is anybody saying the doctor deserved this? 5 years old and 65lbs is quite overweight. The average 5 year old is somewhere between 30-40, give or take a bit. The kid will have all kinds of health problems if something doesn't change soon, and Doc here was doing their JOB. Also, #11 is right, the one who should be getting the lecture is dear old Mom and Dad, probably letting their kid eat too many snacks and sodas and junk. Poor kid.
I'd say the kid's the one who should be saying FML...at that age, they really have no control over what they eat, so its entirely the parent's fault for letting them eat poorly.
