See, I don't agree with striking your children. But, I understand that even though you shouldn't, there are times when you want to. This was, I imagine, one of those times. I hope your kids didn't have any issues with your mother, cos I can see no way of justifying this prank.
Seems like there's a lot more to this story than you're saying, like why weren't your children at their grandmother's funeral? Why would they think a prank like this at a funeral would be appropriate?
