This guy did nothing wrong, for all those who think he did. 1.) There was no intent to be cruel to her. He didn’t know about the surgery. The comment had been said as a means to brush off her using a fake ID in his view in a humorous while still keeping an upper hand as an authority figure. Additionally if they were busy he has no time to argue, and can rightfully turn them away. 2.) Checking to see if she can recite the birth date on the card is a poor method if the authenticity of the ID is in question. It is a common question and can easily be memorized quickly. The only safe thing to do from a liability standpoint is to turn them away. 3.) The girl should not use this ID as her legal identification. It is no longer valid of someone cannot recognize her as the person in the photo. It is as if she changed her address or name. Had she gotten pulled over and gave an officer this ID chances are she be lucky to get a warning and told to update it.
Little did you know that it was all part of her scheme. >_>
yo don't feel bad... its your job...
@ 175: ("To all those saying it's her fault for not getting a new ID, would that really be a top priority for you after being in an horrible accident and having reconstructive surgery?") no you're right, my top priority after a horrible accident and reconstructive surgery would be to go out to a bar (which requires recognizable ID) so i could surround myself with people who would scrutinize my appearance whether i wanted them to or not. get real. homegirl needs to get her priorities straight.
by law, she should have a new id. seriously.
TOo anyone saying she needs a new ID they update photos every 5 years... so............ yeah....
you shouldn't have been such an ass refusing it. "This picture doesn't look like you, I can't accept this" would have been fine as well.

Not your fault. You didn't know.
Well then she should have updated her I.D.
