Final Destination

Today, I was stopped behind a pickup truck filled with junk. I told my friend that the person should have secured the junk better, since it looked like it would fall off any minute. My friend assured me it wouldn't. Right after she said that, a large piece of plywood fell off and hit my windshield. FML

I always go (safely) around people with trailers or truck beds full of stuff and I never get close enough to be hit by anything that flies out of the back. My grandpa works in construction and always secures his tools and plywood, etc securely, but there are so many people who clearly don't.

You broke two rules. Never tale gate, and never tempt fate by making statements like that.

Dude it's called tailgating. Plus did you read that OP said they were stopped?

1. You can't read. 2. It said she stopped behind. The last time I drove (2 hours ago in snow) that when you stop, you usually stop behind others, and are not a mile behind them when you stop either.

I'm always skeptical about how people tie their stuff down, and this just made me want to be within a 1 mile radius from trucks that carry gas tanks.

That is just really unfortunate. Glad no one got hurt.

Maybe you should keep your distance from the car in front of you.

And you didn't keep your distance from a threat you even voiced concern over to your passenger because why? TDI

You deserve it completely. Maybe next time you see a truck like that instead of tall gating it you'll leave enough space between you so that shit doesn't land on you car when it flies off as you expected it to.

they were stopped, you dont stop a mile behind someone

What did your friend say after that happened?
