You will regret that game if he dies before you see him again.
Maybe get off your arse and spend some time with your grandparents before you no longer can?
I know visiting might be a common thing but I cherish every moment I spend with my family because you never know when anyone's time is up. It's only for a little bit. Surely your game can wait a couple of hours?
Get some wifi
We do not know if the grandparents visit often or the kind of relationship the OP has with Grandpa. Just as an example, I dreaded it when my grandparents visited because all they did was insult me and order me around like our house was a 5-star hotel and I was a maid. My grandfather wouldn't even use my name, snapping "GIRL! Get me a cup of coffee!" or the like at me. I had to drop what I was doing and wait on him or be screamed at all day for my surpreme laziness and lack of respect. Once I had to drop a phone midsentence, run through the house to grab that bastard a fork that was sitting in plain sight about two feet away from him. When I said, "It's right there" to him, he said, "I don't care. I don't want to get it, I want YOU to get if for me." My grandmother dogged me around the house complaining that I did everything wrong and was lazy WHILE I was doing some messy cleaning job while my mother slept or watched TV. I hated the sight of both of them, so I am very ympathetic to people who don't drop everything to kiss their grandparents' feet.
Oh god, you're back and being an emo shit again? I thought it was just your parents that were the most awful people on the planet and boo hoo and pity me and all that, but your grandparents too? Have you ever considered you just might be an asshole?
No, I was just abused. An asshole would say or do horrible, hurtful things to other human beings and I have never initiated anything that would deliberately hurt another person, nor would it ever occur to me to do so. And I honestly can't figure out why others do that. Do you think it's fun or funny? Does it give you a sense of power? I really am curious.
How would I know? You should probably see a therapist about it, not make every FML you can all about you. It's like that Rabidbunny kid from ages ago, that shit gets annoying fast. I didn't mean to offend though, so I apologize.
To answer your question, bankrupt, the reason assholes act like assholes is everything that you said; they think it's fun, they think it's funny and they enjoy the sense of power that being an asshole gives them over their victim. Years ago there were fewer assholes because society was less tolerant of them and people valued the opinion of others so they behaved more appropriately. Now, nobody gives a **** if everyone else thinks they are an asshole or if they hurt someone as long as they get what they want, so we have assholes everywhere who don't get stopped. The internet encourages this because of its anonymity. It's easy to take a big, honking shit on a stranger on a website, confident that they will never know who you are or where you live, so you will never be accountable for your assholeness.
bankrupt- How would I know? You should probably see a therapist about it, not use FML to work it out. It's like that Rabidbunny kid from ages ago always trying to get pity and fishing for compliments by always talking shit about himself, it gets annoying fast. I didn't mean to be offensive though, so I'm sorry if it came off like that. I guess it's better than "lol that sucks" comments. pattipan- That's wishful thinking. You know how every generation talks about how awful the new generation is and how it was all better in their day, even though it's not remotely true? You're doing the same thing. Assholes are everywhere, always have been. Anyway I shouldn't have even mentioned it, I was just venting.
@Srhike: I thought you'd know since you are one. @Pattipan: you made an excellent point. People can call each other every name in the book, hand out death wishes like they're cocktail napkins and prettty much say any nasty, hateful thing they want because there are no repercussions; the anonymity of the internet protects them so they are not accountable. It is amazing and unfortunate to see how many people take advantage of that and spend their time slinging hate and insults to random strangers on the internet. I guess it makes them feel powerful.
Oh ok, since you're calling me an asshole troll, I don't feel sorry for you. You hijack every FML trying to make it all about you then call people trolls for finding it annoying, so either you're the troll or you're just a goddamn idiot who needs her own blog. Good day, maam.
Maybe you should have been visiting with them rather than playing your game. Maybe he was doing it to get your attention.
Maybe get off the computer and spend some time with your grandparents!
What a little jerk... Your grandpa is visiting... You shouldn't have been playing computer games, idiot.
You are probably not going to like this reply but your mom is right, shut up and show some respect.
I can't understand why mad people are allowed whenever they annoy us.
Congratulations! Your grandfather is a total D-bag. :(
