Get back here!

Today, whilst working at Subway, I took an order for 6 footlongs. The entire process took 15 minutes due to the customer's hesitant and glacial pace. When it came to paying, he pulled out his wallet, looked inside, looked at me, and walked quickly out of the store. FML

FML for reading this....15 minutes?? your whining about doing your job for 15 minutes??? suck it up.

now you get a huge snack to eat during your break or share with your coworkers/friends/family/whoever! this isn't exactly fml material.

so what happens to the food? That's why pay first is the best

I never thought of that. restraunts should be pay-first.

I'm still cracking up at the first line.

#15: While more logical than most holding your POV, you still miss the simple fact that that is very annoying. In a "real" restaurant you don't have to see the guy ordering like a idiot and then ditching out on the food. You don't see your effort (even a relatively small effort) going to waste. While not the biggest FML around, it's certainly an irritating situation. #22: Free food can mitigate such an incident, but people who order like idiots at any cafe/fast food place/whatever is annoying. I'd trade all the free food in the world to not have to listen to them. It isn't that the food will go to waste, it's that the OP had to listen to this guy talk for 15 minutes for what ended up being no reason. Everyone else who has a problem with this FML: You are the reason why there should be compulsory service industry jobs for two years, just like military service in Israel. The guy wasted 15 minutes that could have been used cleaning or prepping ingredients. Someone ordering smarter could have ensured that the same order was done in 6 minutes, leaving time to do all the other crap that needs to be done during his shift. Or having a few minutes to breath between crushing rushes. And what if it was the middle of a rush? If this guy is the only customer then it's mildly annoying, but if this was keeping smarter customers from getting their food in a timely manner then it's infuriating.

That's what you get for being a person who uses the word "whilst."

lol do i work with you? i work at a way and when that happens i get so pissed. the people who say oh u had to do your job for 15 mins. sry but were not only there to make your food we do alot more than that. and ya tat sucks. i had someone last night order 3 subs in the middle of a rush and got to the register and goes wheres my 5 subs? and i was like you only ordered 3 and he says maybe you dont listeni said 5 subs are you stupid.... i wanted to scream at him!!!!!
