when i worked in food service as a student, we got to eat the stuff that was "messed up" for whatever reason. i completely understand the fml in this situation, but there's always the silver lining, hehe. oh and i LOVED that you used the word "glacial", lol.
@29 How the hell are you employed when you are so retarded? Learn some English, and maybe you'll get a better job than being a burger flipper.
What a turd... I hope there wasn't a long line of people... Anyways when that happens do you get to keep the sandwiches ;)?
While it was a waste of time, it's not like you would have been doing something else. It's your job to make sandwiches, so you do. I worked at Subway for a year or so also, and I understand the frustration. If I'm not mistaken though, when that happens, the sandwiches can't be sold, so you get to eat them/bring them home. Grossest thing I ever saw, a fat guy walked in, ordered three double meat steak sandwiches with everything on them, sat down, and ate everything. It was sick.
Ouch. By the way, you DON'T get to keep the subs for free. If you eat them and a manager isn't there to write off the wasted ingredients (which is possible if it's later in the day at a Subway), they get taken out of your paycheck. I feel your pain, OP. I used to be in your shoes (worked at Subway for a bit of last summer). However, to those that say 15 minutes is a record for 6 subs, a failing time on an evaluation for Subway is about 2 minutes to make 1 sub, no matter how complex the sub may be. 15 minutes may be a stretch if OP has been working there a while, but, if she's new, it's a little more understandable.
i like the fact that the OP used the word "whilst". That made my day :)
I would like to point out that the OP never said they made the subs, just that they were ordered.
uh, #38, you pay after the subs are made.
I work at subway too, I've had that happen to me before but not with 6 feet, lol that sucks..
