Today, a young boy helped me carry my groceries home. He then asked me to sign his sheet to certify that he had done half an hour of service to the elderly. I'm 46. FML

oh god, settle down. he's probably just under the assumption that elderly means anyone who looks like an adult. since "elder" as in "respect your elders" just means anyone older than you, i'm sure as a little kid he would automatically assume that "elderly" means the same thing.

I hope you signed it. he probably didn't mean to offend you and he did you a wonderful service. if it was me I would sign it to help him out for helping me out regardless of age.
