Get out

By BearGrillz - 17/08/2009 23:40 - United States

Today, there were some wasps getting in my bedroom from a hole in the frame of my window. I went outside with some spray and took out their entrance. What I didnt know is that when you spray wasps, they go the other direction. I now have 60+ wasps flying around my bedroom. FML

I would've flipped the **** out. Looks like you need an exterminator now.

This is bad, very bad. Wasps can spread throughout the house easily. The fact that there are 60+ wasps indicates that there is a nest in the hole. * Wasps are very agile and can fit under doors. But this is not likely to be much of a problem compared to what else you face. * If your home was built any time during the 20th century, it is likely that there is a central air system. Wasps can easily propagate through the ductwork. And if there are screw holes in the ductwork, the wasps can enter the walls, attic, and crawlspaces. * Wasps are small enough to fit through the 3rd (grounding) hole in an electrical outlet (compare to the diameter of a cell in a typical wasp nest). Chitinous structures such as wings are poor conductors of electricity, so don't count on the wasps being electrocuted. * Once wasps reach the interior of the walls, they are safe. Nothing lives in the walls that can destroy wasp nests, and they are hard for fumigators to reach. So if you choose fumigation, I recommend setting up a second fumigator in the basement, attic, crawlspace, wherever, and leaving it running for several days to a few weeks.

more importantly, after reading this...you counted the wasps?

i would have like cried lol I'm sorry OP, that really sucks. I would just get an exterminator.

how do I get a picture on my fml? I'm so lost!!

And that's why you use tire insulator, or liquid rubber.

at least they didn't sting you! I HATE wasps, I'm really sensitive to bee/hornet/wasp stings, I swell up so badly o.O

what'd you expect them to do, run toward the spray?

You're supposed to do it at night when they're sleeping

WOW... Some people are really clever... Of could you ever expect a creature with no real intelligence to speak of, which is guided purely by instincts and reflexes, to flee away from the death-spray... Well deserved it, OP
