The mama bird has to kick the baby bird out of the nest eventually. The baby bird should shit on the nest before it leaves.

I can't figure out why people like that have kids. Honestly, it's incredible, kicking your child out like that ._.

You should want to move out at 18... You're an adult and shouldn't want to be living off your parents anymore...

congratulations. you can now grow up.

They've been dying to walk around naked for 18 years. They want there freedom back. Hell, be happy. I'm sure you have friends that would take you in!(:

Parents and selfish are not a good combination. Just because you turn 18 and are considered an adult does not mean you are one. Most 18 year olds are so not ready to be on their own. Good luck OP.

Agreed. I'm a college junior and I can't even begin with how much I've matured in my short time here.

Aye, after reading these comments, I totally agree that many 18 year olds are years behind on maturing. When I was a kid, it started at 16, with cars and freedom, then jobs for gas and date money. We had 2 years to sort things before school ended. Now it's a sudden shock at 18 and the kids haven't even considered preparing for it.

I always say I am going to do that with my 14 year old son...but I am joking...maybe OP's parents have a sick sense of humor?

You're 17 for God's sake. I'm sorry OP - I wish you the best.

How old do you think you need to be to grow the **** up? 18 is old enough to drive, to vote and ( in Canada ) to drink so what's the problem? Do kids these days not see it coming for 18 years? It's not like that's not enough time to learn how to take care of yourself.

I moved out 3 days after turning 18. I told my kids years ago, and remind them, that if they aren't registered for college fall semester by the the time they grad HS, which is 4 wks after they turn 18, then they have to pay rent to stay. No school, no free ride. You can handle it in a bad economy, just not in the style that your parents have enabled.

Got a job? Can you support yourself? What's the problem?
