Hahahaha what the hell who asks if a Resturant takes food stamps? but that's a pretty weak first date,I'm sorry OP
Yeah, if he was on food stamps for any extended period of time, he would know which restaurants accept them as a form of payment, if any at all. Kinda sucks if OP didn't know he was on food stamps, but I agree that you should go on several dates before committing to a relationship to find this stuff out, if it phases you.
again!!! read!!! no where did the fml said this is a first date!
To all: it originally said first date but was later edited.
Run. Run quickly, and don't look back.
I don't think ANY restaurant takes food stamps...if they did, the boys and I would be able to eat like kings more often!~
Yet again, 28 food-stamps are for people who make a low income. They don't have to be completely broke.
Fuhohohoho!~ It's always so funny when people don't know who I am! I have no proper income, darling!~ I live off what the boys and I can take from those who have too much!~
robinhood?
get a job?
Get a job loser
Stop taking my hard earned money dipshit try and find a job
maybe he didn't even have that, probably was caught off guard:/ ladies don't always have cash on them. I prefer carrying just my card and DL. but I guess that's just me..
well don't think of it like that maybe he is going through a really tough time hell even I'm thinking on getting some I need to provide food for myself and my parents and sister. go find out if he needs help don't be messed up :|
There is nothing wrong with food stamps it's the governments way of making sure that the people who make low incomes are well fed.
Dude. There is A LOT wrong with the food stamp system. At least here in Louisiana. People tack on other dependents to get more money, they find ways to lie about household income, etc. Although the state does make sure you can't use the cards on certain things. And certain stores just don't accept them. But the system is flawed. There's plenty of people taking advantage who make it so some that actually are in need can't get assistance.
spending 20$ on a date is not a FML moment..... and if you seriously think that it is then you are a gold digger....and quite honestly ..... if you knew he had no money before that then YDI Basically this was a waste of a FML and quite honestly i cannot see how this "ruined" your life....... did you guys get married and live in a cardboard box? YD golddigging I
Woman should be paying more often!! They protested for more rights and killed The Benny Hill Show in the process. They are now equal to men, just like they wanted. So they can damn well pay!
you're a freaking ignorant idiot if you think women are exactly 'equal' to men..
When you invite guests into your home for dinner, you don't ask them to bring the food. It should be the same for dates. You ask, you pay.
When you invite guests into your home for dinner, you don't ask them to bring the food. It should be the same for dates. You ask, you pay. BTW, don't assume all women want your concept of "equality". I know many young women who are fine with the traditional roles.
you're saying that the asker is also the one to foot the bill. but clearly, you're one of those that's content with the traditional roles. so that implies that the guy should be the one who asks out the girl, therefore always being the one paying. am i wrong?
What's wrong with going dutch? A lot of couples don't do the traditional "asking out to dinner" thing nowadays; they just decide to go eat together. A man expecting his date to pay is just as bad as a woman doing the same.
You're wrong. How is it clear I'm content in a traditional role? My husband and I often went Dutch when we were dating. Now, I almost always pay. He pays for other things. I wasn't applying my personal situation here. Just saying I don't know why many men are put out when a woman expects him to pay. If you are offering to take someone out, it seems logical that it is your treat. When I asked my husband out, I expected to pay.
OMG a girl had to pay for food, the world is going to end:(

Oh shit, you payed for a tab, and an expensive one at that! This begs for a chivalry/equality debate, no?
