Good one, thanks

Today, it was my first day of school as a freshman. I soon became lost so I asked a senior for directions to my class. They smiled at me and said, "It's on the third floor to the right." After ten minutes of walking up and down stairs and hallways, I discovered there is no third floor. FML

Lol we did this to our freshmen too. Somehow we managed to convince a surprising number of them that there was a pool on the 4th floor. Ah high school.

You should remember, seniors HATE freshmen. For no reason either. Guess it makes them feel tough.

FAKE -- school doesn't start until after Labor Day. Your fake FML would be more believable in 2 weeks.

Some places do start this early. The "School doesn't start until after Labor Day" notion started back when kids actually helped their parents with the farm. After Labor Day it began to cool off and the help wasn't needed as much. As that is no longer the case A LOT of schools are turning to longer school years and a week (or two) before Labor Day may be unusual, but not unheard of. It pays to have an education. :-D And as an American, and someone that was going to go into the education system before he was disenchanted...I feel bad for American children. I see the stupidity...and quite frankly it makes me want to move out of the country. There are days that I realize just how much of an education I learned even before college...Most of it was from my father rather than the public school system.

Schools aren't air conditioned. That's why they start after Labor Day -- so they're not outrageously hot inside. If school were open this week, they'd have to close it because it's too ridiculously hot and humid.

a lot of schools have started stupid. some cali school have started already to. i'm not even in school and i know that. and wat schools don't have a/c? mine did. and teachers set the temp. in there own room!!!...stupid people

Southern schools start in mid August. As the OP is from North Carolina, it is perfectly consistent.

My school is air conditioned. Even my middle school was. A ton of schools are air conditioned....

Actually, it is fake if the person isn't attending private school. NC requires that no school system can start their year before August 25, because too many school systems opened at the beginning of august. That said if the OP attends a large private school (although they aren't that many around here) then it is plausible.

School started on August 3rd for me. And that's the latest I remember starting it at, it usually starts on the last week of July. Most of the rooms at my school don't have A/C, either.

lmfao 79 some schools start wayyy before labor day, dumbass...just because your school doesnt start until then doesnt mean all schools do, mine starts a couple days before, and some schools start weeks before.... also, at my school we have a "3rd floor" but it its just a wing at the opposite end of the school, always funny to watch freshman get duped...YDI for ever asking a senjor, teachers are there to help, or just try to find a friend with the same classes so you can go there together and help each other not get lost

#79: Not everywhere. I started school 8/12.

everyone knows u should never ask directions to a senior or any grades older! it was really obvious that he going to do that.

YDI for not noticing the building you are walking into only has 2 floors... can you say gullible

if you're a freshman...don't ever ever ever under any circumstances trust a senior (or ANY upper-classman for that matter) to tell you the truth.

I'm going to be a sophomore this year, so I know you NEVER trust seniors. Hate to brake it to you, but everyone hates freshmen and everyone will try to **** with you. Ask teachers for directions and try to stay out of the upperclassmen's way. That's how i survived freshman year.
