Who buys a cell phone for an 11-year-old?
"Today its my soon to be 12 year old daughters birthday" doesn't make sense
Kids are so spoiled now days and not watched after either. 12 year olds think they need money. If the parents say no then you probably don'y need it. Also, They now have better ways of hiding the fact that they are a cheating bitch. Well, except the ones who end up on Cheaters. And YES, I did just say 12 year old cheaters. Eventually kids in 4th grade will be cheating. The op's daughter sounds like a stuck up bitch. Btw, presents are nice. You don't have to freak out. They are other things like the internet to keep you busy while you wait. You have problems when you return the "present" that was to you to the store unless it was the wrong size or w/e it was. Idk. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
She shouldn't even have a phone if she's 12
I do the same thing with my parents. We teens just sometimes choose not to express our emotions with our parents.
How about you stop using the magical teenager syndrome as an excuse to be a jerk and just be affectionate and loving to your parents? I don't get people who blame their age on how they act. I wasn't always sunshine and happiness but I never refused to return my mom's affection just because I was a teenager.

When I was 12, I had my first phone -_- but it was for practical reasons since the middle school was kind of far. Anyways but I was never spoiled, cause if I was my parents wouldn't have it (Asians :D ) I think it all depends on how well the parents raise their kids. Besides, why compare 2 different ages? :/ Ok, so back then the cool things were DS's and portable cd players and all that stuff. Now it's just cellphones, touch screen innovation and the best-new technology. It's just what we grow up with and around to. But I do agree, there's always that kid that takes things for granted. But as for OP, hope she'll grow up and show some respect because I don't think it's hit her yet how one day, there'll be a birthday where you won't even be there anymore :(
Awwww, she does love you, she's just got a one-track mind right now. I still talk to my daddy that way and I'm turning 23 next month. But I do it specifically to be obnoxious.
