Hangry

By Prodigy - This FML is from back in 2010 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I ran into a former college classmate at Subway. He gushed on and on about how I was the only one in our class with true potential. Then I asked him what kind of sandwich he wanted, because 3 years out of college, Subway is still the only place that will hire a music major. FML

Quit whining, all of us musicians know the risk we're taking when we try to make it a career.

Go back and get another degree- one with some form of job security. You should have known any art degree wouldn't get you anywhere especially in this economy.

A restraining order seems proportionate.

I work at Burger King I wear paper hats Would you like an apple pie with that

$50 - one of the worst song parodies to have been created. Not only is it not catchy and funny, it completely makes people with down-syndrome or any kind of mental illness seem like a huge stereotype. One other thing I don't like about the so... (a loud ding is heard) Fries are done. I gotta run.

I'm not sure, the exchange rate is terrible right now. Do you have pay-pal? :-)

I've been in your shoes before and am there again. It's a sign of the times. If you can't get into teaching or a band/orchestra, try going for grad school. Also, leave Tennessee. New York is a great place for musicians. You've already got your education, go to where the jobs are. They will not come to you. I used to clean people at a nursing home with my bachelor's in accounting. My program was ranked 5th in the nation at the time. After a year of doing nothing but sending out resumes and getting no offers, I moved to California and had one offer per day by the third week. Just go for it.
