this is what happens when I get food huh? *goes to corner*
I even know not to major in music and I'm 13
Goddamn, you're dumb. First, your age has nothing to do with your knowledge, you're simply repeating whatever the people before you have said about not majoring in a creative field. Second of all, you're relaly ignorant. Second, I'm tired of this judgment of people's personal choices. I know I want to go into either writing or art, and I've tried to dodge that decision for years because I know either field is rocky terrain and financially unstable, but I've got no other choice because I would rather work very hard to get to a place I love than have it easy in a job that I hate with a passion. Seriously - creative majors KNOW that the fields they want to enter into are competitive and difficult to survive in. I know my job will be hard work. I know things will get difficult, but I'm willing to work anyway because I LOVE ART AND WRITING. I could NEVER be happy doing anything else, so I don't have another choice. Please consider that what makes money is not necessarily what breeds happiness.
But you play the tuba, so you're awesome ready.
Don't give up hope. One of my friends plays in an actual, popular orchestra. True story. :P
as someone who has wasted his life with music even I know your not getting a job with a degree in music FYL because that's the job you have but YDI for getting a degree in music
buffalo chicken subs ftw
YDI for being a music major. Just like a theater major...it's a joke. What are you HONESTLY going to do with that? Some people are smart and think it through. You'd never see a chemistry/psychology major working at subway would you? No.

Quit whining, all of us musicians know the risk we're taking when we try to make it a career.
Go back and get another degree- one with some form of job security. You should have known any art degree wouldn't get you anywhere especially in this economy.
