Today, I locked my car. I put the key in my bag when suddenly my car began to roll backwards. I tried to get the key out of my bag but couldn't find it, and with the other hand I tried to stop the car. The worst thing was that some dumbass was watching me and didn't help. FML

Today, I accidentally locked my car and house keys along with my phone in my car. Then I had to break into my own house looking for the spare. Someone called the police and I had to explain that I lived there. I forgot to grab the spare when I went to talk to the police officers I locked the door behind me. FML

Today, as I was closing my car door, I realized I had left the keys in the ignition. Not wanting to lock myself out, I reached to stop the door from closing. Not only did I scream when the door slammed on my hand, but in my furious pain, I leaned on the door, locking my keys inside. FML

Today, I couldn't see my car in a crowded car park. I pressed unlock on my keys and saw the lights flash. As I walked over I also saw someone run from my car with an armful of my stuff. FML

Today, I was walking to my car when I saw a large man walking behind me. I hurried to open my car as he was approaching quickly, but the door wasn't unlocking and I panicked. I then realized that it wasn't even my car. As I walked away from it, he walked up and unlocked the door. FML

Today, I accidentally left the handbrake off in my car, got out, locked it, and started walking away. Then I heard a loud noise and looked over my shoulder and the car was gone. Of course, it hit the only other car parked in the street. FML

Today, my relatively new car locked down, with my keys inside of it, while it was still running. In a panic because it was getting dark and I was already low on fuel, I called a locksmith. He showed up and told me he needed to see some ID before unlocking the car. My ID was in the car. FML

I am going to vote for both YDI and FYL. Why? YDI - There is something called putting the car on 'park' for a reason. Not only that, you also probably didn't turn the car off after you have stopped. You must have been rushing to get out of the car that you have forgot the finishing steps to driving and parking a car. FYL - You may have accidently forgotten to put the car on park and turning it off. Accidents DO happen. I'm very sorry that you have lost your keys and that that dumbass just watched your car backpadel into a presumed pedestrain, building, house, or object. As a result, I will vote for both.

For all the people saying "have you heard of a parking brake?" and such, I'm assuming that if OP is driving a stick shift, yeah... heard of it. Either A) made an honest mistake or B) the brake malfunctioned. I've had something similar happen because even though I used the brake it didn't engage all the way and the car started rolling anyway. I was able to stop it, but still shit happens. However, not cool calling someone a dumbass just because they didn't help. Asshole, maybe, but they could be a smart asshole.

Does anyone know that you're supposed to turn your wheels when on a hill? Oh and maybe put the vehicle in park/put hand brake up next time, if you ever drive again.

LOL at all the idiots on here.. OP is stupid for not putting the parking brake and when looking for keys not using both hands lol, what was one hand on the car gonna do.. and that asshole should of helped.. No, not by getting behind the car but trying to get in the car to hit the brakes.. getting behind the car would have gotten him hurt, all you idiots like "oh yeah I push my car all the time" im guessing you didnt push it while it was already moving in the opposite direction and on an incline (which im assuming there is one thats why the car started rolling) Its simple physics people.
