History rocks

Today, I told my parents that what I'd really like for my 21st birthday is the 1865 edition of the Memoirs of Saint-Simon in 22 volumes that I found online for $200, and have been wanting for months. They laughed and said, "Yeah, right. We'll get you an iPhone and perhaps you'll become normal." FML

Even parents have fallen into the so common desires of society nowadays... (wanting everything related to apple)

hopefully one day you will get it, and become that rich odd person your parents used to know

Don't be normal. You're ******* awesome and that's way better than being normal. Sell the phone on eBay :)

you could read the memoirs on the IPhone for free.

Now you can continue wanting it from yet another fine piece of technology! Parents these days!!

Not sure if this is an fml moment or an epic win maybe ill try that on my next bday ;)

So they will buy you an iPhone that cost like $600 bucks at regular price but not give you $200 dollars for what you really want. Hmm...

Tell them to get you a Samsung Galaxy S-III!

Not really that spooky. Every generation thinks the ones coming after them are idiots...
