Today, I had my wisdom teeth pulled. There was a cyst behind one of them, and the dentist decided to extract it - except the Novocaine didn't reach that far back. I raised my hand like they said to do, and the dentist looked at me writing in pain and said, "No, you're fine." FML

Dentists are the devil in disguise! D:< I'm terrified of the dentist( like I mean panic attack terrified) ever since I got one of my teeth pulled out when I was 7. The asshole of a dentist gave me novacaine but didn't let it settle, he just began yanking away and he didn't listen to me being in pain. Another time I was getting fillings and before I tried explaining my fear to the dentist and she said " you're not 3 years old quit being a baby" and I could feel everything and the bitchy dentist said "you don't feel anything.". Oh and to top it off they told me I needed a root canal done since 2006 yet informed me of this LAST year! Denstists are inconsiderate, swindling bastards. I feel so bad for you OP. You should have grabbed his hand or something so he cold understand that you weren't "fine".

I swear to god most dentists are like sadistic bastards, they won't let you out of the chair unless they see blood or can move a tooth or they've had their fun for the hour. Why does EVERY checkup I go to, the doctor always pokes around that sharp metal thing until my gums bleed? And then he's all, "well, you look good, come back in 6 months." WTF DID YOU CAUSE ME ALL THAT PAIN FOR?

Ouch , once my dentist didn't listen to me when I said I was in pain, so I kicked him in the nuts. Now when I say it hurts, he listens. You should try the same OP .

Eeeek, I feel horrible for you. All of a sudden I'm horrified of dentists. It's like you have no control. Now I'm uber scared.

I hate it when doctors or dentists think they know everything that happens when it cones to medication and think the patient is exaggerating. it just makes me mad to know that there are stubborn doctors/dentists that overlook facts and don't listen to the patient.

Novocaine doesn't work on infected areas like cysts. So you should appreciate that he pulled the tooth and didn't let you suffer with an infection in your mouth. And he must have gotten the cyst out intact or you could have had a mouth full of puss and rankness. BRUSH YOUR TEETH AND FLOSS! Muckmouth
