Today, I was having a dinner party. My guests were getting along really well. I mean, really well; it turns out they all went to the same high school. For the next five hours, I hosted a high school reunion for a school I didn't even go to, in my own home. FML

As long as everyone enjoyed the party there isn't much to complain about if you ask me

You couldn't have known, and it sounds like your guests had a good time. There will be other chances

What an unfortunate coincidence :/ I hope the night went well for you though.

How is that an unfortunate coincidence? His guests all knew each other very well and instantly got along. If you ask me, the party went off without a hitch!

I can see how that could be a problem, everyone there talking and having a great time and you're just out of the loop. Next party, try to add some more variety to your guest list (or at least some wider age difference) so that way you can have some people to talk to too.

At least they were all friends. It would have been worse if they all hated each other.

You bought together a group of people that haven't connected in years. So you shouldn't feel like an outsider.

Add me to the list of people who do not get your annoyance. I love to listen to old stories I was not involved in and guessing by the FML many where told.

It could have been worse, had they been enemies back in high school it would have been awkward. You're lucky they were. friends.

This is something that happens to everyone op and I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time its happened. Not at all an FML. I wish better ones would be published.
