Today, my wife announced her support for Donald Trump for president, someone who vehemently is against immigrants. She herself is an immigrant from Colombia, who became a naturalized US citizen last year. She became this way because she was undocumented and I, a US citizen, married her so she could have papers. FML

Today, my mom made a comment on how “illegal immigrants” should just come legally and do it the right way, so they “wouldn’t be illegal and mooching off American taxpayers.” This is coming from someone who married someone she didn’t even love, my ex-stepdad for a green card and citizenship. FML

Today, my date was making remarks about “stupid illegals” and “immigrants are everything wrong with this country” because our waiter barely spoke English and apparently got his order wrong. When I reminded him I’m an immigrant, he said, “But you speak English and you’re legal, so you don’t count.” FML

Today, my now-ex boyfriend treated our waitress like shit. She was a young lady who just came from Venezuela and barely spoke English. He gave her no tip, ranted about “fixing this goddamn border problem” along with xenophobic slurs. Apparently, he’d forgotten I’m an immigrant too, from Colombia. FML

Today, it's been a year since my wife agreed to an open marriage. A friend said at the time that she would get a lot more sex than me, and would end up leaving me. I ignored him because he's a basement dwelling Trump supporter who's never had a girlfriend. Turns out he was completely right. FML

The comments so far show the intelligence of the average Trump supporter so well. "very few countries have that right"? Uh, all developed first world nations do, most of them are doing better than us because their people are collectively smart enough not to elect someone like Trump, and Trump has demonstrated that he poses a serious threat to that right. "that's her legal right"? no shit Sherlock. I love how often conservatives miss the point and pompously try to give us all basic civics lessons that absolutely nobody needs. Wow, you mean he can't have her arrested for it? Get out, mind blown! Your wife is a bootlicker. She’s only bootlicking Trump because she has papers. If she was still undocumented Trump would deport her in a heartbeat. It’s astounding how she turns her back on her people like that. Immigrants for Trump is like Roaches for Raid or Chickens for KFC. how disgusting

He's not anti immigration. The most he is is anti illegal immigration which most people are if you sit down and have a serious conversation with them. Most of the time people will say something along the lines of "let anyone in as long as they're not murderers or rapists etc". Well how do we know that these people aren't murderers or rapists? There's a process that you have to follow. Just walking across the border is illegal because it gets around that process. I understand there's problems with the process and it takes way longer than it should but there still needs to be some process involved.
