Huh?

Today, I went to a restaurant for lunch. The waiter brought some bread and I started eating it as I waited for him to take my order. When he approached me he looked at me and said, "Don't eat too much bread honey. It'll make you fatter." Not fat, fatter. I never thought of myself as fat. FML

So don't tip him? You're probably reading too much into it. He probably didn't mean it that way.

The waiter had absolutely no right to say that. I would have left the restaurant if I were you. You didn't tip him, did you?

That's very rude of him. I hope you complained to management and didn't waste a tip on such an arrogant person. And good for you for not thinking of yourself as fat to begin with; it's your body and your health, and your self respect, and that's all that matters, not the opinion of some prick who likes to try to lower people's self-esteem.

He sounds like he needs to get fired. Did you file a complaint with his manager?

I enjoyed reading this fake FML..thanks. The only 2 rare exceptions that this would've actually happened is if the guy was trying to be a douche and didn't care about making tips or if he was seriously mentally retarded. Believe it or not I'd go for the latter. Hence the reason I call this a fake.

yep, fake. if you have ever worked in the restaurant industry youd know that would never happen

Last time I checked, bread isn't fattening.

anything with calories can be fattening. just because it doesn't have fat in it, doesn't mean your body can't store the calories as fat. Pure sugar, like, for example, coke, has no fat in it. But if you drink a lot of coke, you may find yourself putting on weight. laws of thermodynamics. if energy goes into your system, and work isn't being done such that the eneergy leaves your system, it's going to accumulate. how does your body store energy? as fat! yay!

Enough reason to fire that guy...what kind of restaurants do you go to?
