This happened in Spain. In Spanish "fatter" has a different connotation, example: mas gorda. That automatically means you're already pretty heavy. It would like saying "fatter than you are". That's why it's an FML.
When did bread start making you fat?
Since it contains an assload of carbs. Turns to fat if you don't burn it off.
I call bs on this story.
That's one rude waiter.
Everyone is misunderstanding what he's saying. 'Fatter' only means getting more weight than what you were originally. It does NOT mean you're fat. Don't take things so literally.
Stop reading into words, you ******* bitch.
he didn't call you fat, he said that you would become fatter, but not fat. So actually he said that you weren't fat, and that you aren't going to be fat either (just a little fatter then that you are now)
well maybe u shuld start thinking that way dear.

So don't tip him? You're probably reading too much into it. He probably didn't mean it that way.
The waiter had absolutely no right to say that. I would have left the restaurant if I were you. You didn't tip him, did you?
