Today, I organised a romantic day trip for me and my boyfriend to some tropical gardens. I packed lunch and paid for the tickets. He decided to bring a friend, who doesn't speak English. The only thing that he said that I understood was that, "Your girlfriend eats a lot." FML

Shouldn't he have ASKED before bringing a random friend beforehand? Lame that he knows he was going out to do SOMETHING with his girlfriend but couldn't offer a heads up, before arriving, that his friend was joining them.

She didn't say he just showed up with his friend. Whether he did or said something ahead of time, she should have told him it was just for the two of them. Instead, she allowed the friend to join them just to bitch about it later.

You kinda deserve it OP. When your bf showed up with a buddy you should have just nicely and politely told them that this was meant as a romantic date for you and your boyfriend and asked the friend to leave. Then again if you did that and your boyfriend refused then I would suggest you rethink the relationship because a guy who brings a friend on a date is probably not as into you as you would like.
