If you are bitten by a tick, save the tick and if possible get it tested for Lyme. It takes less, a lot less, than 24 hours for a tick to transmit lyme disease. If at all possible, take 2 weeks of tetracycline antibiotics immediately. Lyme is a horrible, chronic, debilitating disease, regardless of the lies the ILADS is telling you. However, if you are bitten by a lyme infested tick and treat it right away you can avoid a lifetime of pain.
