You realised that that 'independence' thing was clearly a lie to make you feel better? Congratulations, now you know he just didn't want to be with you/wanted to be with other people. At least he tried fibbing to spare your feelings.

A handful of guys(and girls) and their reasons(excuses) that makes no sense when it comes to ending a relationship, like your ex bf for example. They cant tell you the real reason, afraid that u might not be able to handle it. been through that sorta crap, it sucks but hey at least u realize how stupid he is.
