I worked 24 hours a week thru 4 years of college, and now work 60 hours a week over two jobs, and have just enough free time to feel poor. some of the tax money I lose goes to you. so you lost your work study. after that, maybe you should look for a job instead of a handout you ****** bum. you disgust me.

I just had to comment on this. seeing as I am going through the same thing with the food stamps and school. It just seems wrong to me that someone that has an income is able to get them and someone that doesn't can't. So basically they are saying that you aren't allowed to better yourself in order to get a decent job that will keep you off the system, that all you taxpayers are bitching about?? That's wrong. Now before you go yelling and saying I'm trash....I have a job that I have not started yet....making less than I was before I lost my last job or even on unemployment....I was not on any type of assistance while I was working my last job....and on top of that I'm diabetic and have gone without health insurance for over a year because even on unemployment I didn't qualify for anything not even the assistance programs set up for people who do not qualify for welfare programs but do not get health ins thru an employer or do not make enough to purchase it on their own. How sick is that? All I'm saying is not all the people that apply and ask for help are lazy pieces of crap. I chose to further my education so I DON'T need assistance of any kind.

they told me the same thing. but then i went to social services office. I said i had no job and for my address i said homeless. yesterday i received $260 in food stamps. so see if you have a social services self sufficiency center nearby.

I was denied because I made 12$ too much per month...seriously wtf three of us live here!
