Today, after 5 and a half years, my boyfriend had spent months talking about proposing before the end of the year. He'd picked out a ring, told all his friends, and couldn't stop talking about our future. He then dumped me over the phone out of the blue. FML

well hunny don't give up. you must have something going for you if it was hard for him to choose...no your stupid. howuch of a relationship can you really have with this guy if for 2 years he's been seeing someone else? lesson to be learned her...no one goes out to buy milk every night for 6 hours. and how many times was every store out of every kind of milk? (just tossing a generic line out there) but really. if this had been going on for 2 years it's your own damn fault you didn't catch it. word to the not so wise. don't date for to long. marry em quick. that way if they decide to split you can a least get some of their stuff. learn something.
