It's in the fine print

By fuckkkkk - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - United States - San Francisco

Today, after getting my dream job and quitting my old one, I was told my position is strictly "experimental" and will only last 2 months. FML

Experimental often becomes permanent if things go well. Just work hard and you may be kept on. Good luck OP.

Sounds like your temporary future boss likes hiding stuff in the fine print. Good luck finding another new job in the next two months.

Maybe if you do good enough, it'll turn into a permanent position

Dictator of a small 3rd world nation would be mine.

Start looking for a new job now. Maybe if you do well the job will be permanent. Good luck OP.

The grass on the other side is only greener because of all the Bullsh*t. It's not always better to jump across the fence.

They should have been explicitly clear about that at the beginning of the interview process. I'm sorry, OP, you are currently working for manipulative assholes. Start looking for a new job immediately and be glad that you only have to deal with these people for two months. Honestly, good riddance.

Where was this stated before hand? That's quite unfair, sorry op.

on the upside u have chance to live a two months dream. and hopefully at the end they decide to make ur position permanent

You can do great at this new job and possibly be offered a permanent job. you could also use the experience from this new job to find a better job when this temporary position is done. Good luck op. it was really shitty for them to tell you this at the last minute.

I don't get why it easy advertised before hand that it's only temporary position, plus shouldn't the interview and guidelines of the job given hints to what was to be expected?
