It's something

Today, the attractive guy I barely speak to in my statistics class gave me a rose for Valentine's Day because he remembered they were my favorite. My husband got me a roll of quarters and told me to go buy myself "something pretty." FML

guess we know who your new husband gonna be if u get divorced o.o

Yes, your husband does suck- but you shouldn't have accepted a rose from another man on Valentine's Day. You both suck. YDI

i have to say, i think if i were in this situation i would have to show my husband the roses. maybe not as in 'look what someone else got me, you unappreciative *******!' but i would certainly put them in water and make it clear how much i appreciate them. then if husband kicks off id say something along the lines of 'well i'm sorry but i'd forgotten how nice it feels to be bought flowers'. be subtle but make him feel guilty ;) unless he's so self involved he doesn't even realise. in that case i have no advice

I can't believe how many people are so against Valentine's Day. Gifts don't have to be huge. (Unless you're dating a gold digger and that's on you) Just something simple to show your appreciate to your love ones for all they do. That one simple roses from the OP's husband could have spoken volumes rather than from a stranger. And yes girls, it's nice to return gifts. If you can't afford one, a nice massage or his favorite meal etc... I bought my husband a few of his favorite candies (Mike and Ike) and he bought me a gardenia plant and planted it in our garden. The flowers smell amazing! Nothing expense but the thought was there.

i show my boyfriend how much i care all the time and so does he. no need for valentines day.

A roll of quarters equals $10. You could buy several silk roses and chocolate at the 99¢ store now... Yeah he sucks.

Sounds like something out of a bad Tyler Perry movie.

That first sentence sounds completely retarded. So just because a guy is nice, he wants to get in your pants? Who screwed you in the wrong hole? TL_l

It's not even about the rose or money. It's about the fact that one person cared what was going on in your heart and head, and one did not. I would seek some marriage counseling. I was stuck for 14 years in a horrible marriage. If you don't have kids, I'd seriously consider leaving unless he has other outstanding traits of caring you have not shared here.
