Today, I gave a girl I like a $200 diamond necklace to express how much she means to me. She gave me a hug and told me she didn't want to lose me as a friend. Nor did she want to lose her new necklace. Today, I got a $200 hug. FML

it wasn't real diamonds, unless they were super small. they must have been cubic zirconium. diamonds cost a lot more than $200.

I wanna know how this shit gets through, and not my FML about my drunk roommate smashing my $1500 macbook pro?! This just pisses me off. OP, you're a dumbass for getting a friend who may not even like you a gift that is way the hell too expensive. And for being a selfish ass and expecting anything in return. A gift is a GIFT, not a "Be my girlfriend, now, bitch. I just spent $200 on your ass, and I don't give a **** if you like me or not." gesture. If you want a girlfriend, spend that $200 on a date, not some necklace you probably got ripped off on. You must've gotten like 1/4 of a carat diamond for $200.
