It's the thought that counts

Today, I turned 29. To celebrate, my office got me a cake that read "Happy 38th!!" The "theme" of the "party" was 'Not a day over 35!' I waited all day for someone to tell me it was all a prank, but nobody did. I spent my lunch hour crying in my car. Happy birthday to me. FML

Just play along with it and everyone will think you look really good for your age

Ha ha! That's what my Mom does. Instead of lying and saying she's younger than she is so people secretly think she looks haggard, she lies and says she's ten years older than she really is so people tell her she looks great.

Its my birthday too! Happy biryhday! Oh, and FYL...

I'm allergic to milk. On my birthday my coworkers got me an ice cream cake with candles that said I was 40. I'm 29. Don't take it too much to heart.

You know pineapple stops wrinkles. But I'm sure you're gorgeous, your co-workers just didn't know! Happy Birthday, I hope the rest if the day was a lot better! :)

Can't the Human Resource Dept put them right? they could "accidentally" leave your file around... :)

I'm thinking that's where the error came from. Like somebody made a typo when entering her birthday in the system. Just a theory of mine.

Aww. It's okay! Happy birthday! 38 is the new 20!

Don't worry, be happy. But it's your party so you'll cry if you want to.

Regardless of how old they might think you are, they still put forth the effort to throw you a celebration. Be thankful for that.

They could have not done anything. I would have enjoyed the party.

Holy hell you're sensitive. Come on grow up and stop bring such a whiny, overly sensitive drain on society. At least they remembered your bday. Damnit woman

Crying in your car is a bit overly dramatic.

If she's upset she can't really help it...better that than crying in front of everyone or in the toilets or something. I don't think it's that overdramatic. Stuff like that hurts, even if you don't think it will, and a 9 year gap is pretty big...
