yeah, I'd have to say she probably didn't know that it was a date. If she DID know it was a date but then realized she might not be too interested or something, she wouldn't have said "I'm so glad we're friends" but probably something more like "I think we'd be better off as just friends." I've gone out like that with guy friends plenty of times but I would never have thought of it as a date, just hanging out. Definitely need to make sure you both know it's a date ahead of time. And who knows, if you actually tell her that you would be interested in being more than friends, she might not reject you then. It's at least worth a shot! #90--"Being a dick" to a girl to "make" them like you?? That's a good way for them to tag you as an asshole and not even want to be friends, either. Being extra nice to a girl will get you a relationship way more often than being a complete ass.
#100 - girls don't date goofy guys. there is a difference.
She should have kicked you in the nuts. It would feel better than what she did! :(
**** THE FRIEND ZONE
well, at least she was subtle!
At least it was a nice rejection. Sucks that the feeling's not reciprocated though. I don't agree with the people who think she didn't know what was going. I've been in odd situations like that where I did something like that. It's easier to play dumb than just be like "look, I just don't like you like that sorry".
oucchh yeah girls does that from time to time. i swear idk what it is either they're just really naive or just playing naive
wait..."i went on a date with a girl i actually like"....wtf?
That is harsh, and i've been there before... Just recently actually, in my experience though, we did hold hands, and cuddle... I put myself out there, and then was shot down. Sounds to me like the girl was just being naive. I mean, what did she think it was? That's how it goes though, sometimes you win but mostly you just lose. 'friends' ha!...

lol, owned at least she was nice and took it in stride it could have been worse. She could have jumped back disgusted and screamed "WHAT THE HELL!? WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING ME!?! RAAAAAAAPPPPPEEEEEE!!!"
Sucks. Sounds like both of you had a different idea of what was going on...
