Today, I came home from work to find my house was flooded from a broken pipe under the sink. My house had just recently had new wood floors, carpet and electrics installed because 6 months earlier my house had been flooded by the same pipe breaking. FML

So...you fixed EVERYTHING except what caused the problem in the first place? I understand money is tight and things are expensive, but was that really unexpected?

Long story short you knew you had a problem. May not have deserved it, but it could have been prevented.

Sounds like a plumber issue or a subrogation claim against pipe manufacturer. Sorry op, good luck

Most contractors guarantee their work for a year, if they are any good. You used a certified contractor right? If you didn't you are screwed but if you did I would make them replace everything. Plus hopefully you have homeowners insurance or some sort of home warranty. No matter what that sucks,but it's a fixable problem. At least it wasn't your septic tank that backed up.
