So you were going to WALK back home for 2 miles with the equivalent of a cart full of groceries in your arms?
That is so shitty of them! As a cashier at a grocery store, I have people forget things all the time, and I have never once made anyone feel like shit for it. I always tell them it's all right, run and get it, and I set their things aside for when they return. FYL, and they deserve some bad karma for making you feel bad for a mistake.
You dumbass be like "oh shit I forgot my wallet in my car brb" and run out, do you not know how to lie?
so i had a guy do that to me except they needed there i.d. since they were buying smokes, after buying a drink and runs out saying i'll be back well he never did and i was 7.50 richer from this
Did you Did you want the cashier to pay for you? Because unless that's what you wanted they can't do anything
Most are willing to hold the groceries for if there aren't any frozen things in the order.
You were planning to walk 2 miles home with groceries?
Could you not have asked the store to keep the cart somewhere whilst you went home and got your wallet, then returned and paid for your shopping?
If I'm not stupid, I'm pretty sure all gas stations are required by law to have an ATM, soooo?
Always check if you have everything before leaving
How did you plan on getting a cart full of groceries home after not driving the 2 miles??
Magically!

Been there OP. Have a sticky note on your door to remind to check for the essentials before ever leaving home
Sounds like it's time for a pizza delivery.
