I know what you mean, there's a Haitian kid on my soccer team and I have such a hard time understanding him.
who hasn't done that???
this is why you should tell people when you can't understand them
that sucks!! yeah i worked in restraunts where i couldnt understand ANY of the people in the kitchen and you cant just always ****** say you cant understand them cuase they get pissed at you and **** up your orders so i always would laugh and nod too. it sucks thats what he was talking about though!
Hahahahah, that blows. I've done something similar before when I was in Costa Rica. After that, I stuck with "no comprende", or whatever to say that I didn't understand. Fyl.
I also do the same when I can't understand people. And you can't just keep asking them to repeat because they'll think you're dumb asking the same question over and over again.

Bummer. Maybe you should try to understand them better or just be honest and say, "I'm sorry but I just can't understand you; I'm so bad with accents."
i don't care how many times i gotta look stupid repeatedly going "pardon? pardon?" i still gotta know EXACTLY what someone is trying to tell me.
